Kenneth Tilley

Kenneth Howard Tilley, 78, of Jackson died Saturday, July 22, 2023, at his home.

He was born Nov. 12, 1944, in Cape Girardeau to Robert and Adath Rees Tilley. He and Linda Ann Miller were married Dec. 31, 1982.

Kenneth attended Cape Girardeau Central High School and then worked on a riverboat as a young man. He worked in the trucking industry until retiring.

He was a member of Cape Girardeau Fraternal Order of Eagles Post No. 3775. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and giving grandchildren rides on his UTV.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Tilley of Jackson; seven children, Janet Craig of Jackson, Ken (Renee) Tilley of Jackson, Terri Tilley of Carol Stream, Illinois, Kim (Clarence) Styvar of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Kenneth D. Tilley of Scott City, James (Vickie) Tilley of Jackson and Jerry (Susan) Tilley of Jackson; brother, Van (Barbara) Tilley of Leesburg, Florida; and sister, Darlene (Mearlin) Allen of Cape Girardeau. He was also blessed with 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 28, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Friday, July 28, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chris Vaught officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
