Kenneth Paul Parres, 40, of Lee's Summit, Mo., passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at North Kansas City Hospital.

He was born Oct. 12, 1962, in St. Louis, son of Thomas M. and Dolores Kling Parres.

Ken was a teacher at Yeokum Middle School in Belton, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Dillard Parres of the home; a son, Jackie Joseph Parres of Lee's Summit; his father, Thomas M. Parres Sr. of St. Louis; six brothers, Thomas M. Parres Jr. of Titusville, Pa., Ronald L. Parres, Dennis F. Parres, Robert P. Parres and Lawrence E. Parres, all of St. Louis, John W. Parres of Jacksonville, Fla.; his father and mother-in-law, Howard and Martha Dillard of Cape Girardeau; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.

A memorial Mass was held Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee's Summit.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Speaks Suburban Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kenneth Paul Parres' Children's Trust Fund, 5115 S.W. Sandpiper Drive, Lee's Summit, Mo. 64082.
