SIKESTON, Mo. -- Kenneth L. Owens, 79, of Sikeston died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 4, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of August and Anna Bruening Owens. He and Ramona Jeanne Lloyd were married July 2,1950, at Lilbourn, Mo.
Owens owned and operated Ken's Candy Co. many years. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.
He served in the U.S. Army Engineers during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Deborah Hampton and Paula Owens of Sikeston; two sons, David Owens of Festus, Mo., Bryan Owens of Draffenville, Ky.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Concordia Lutheran Church, with the Rev. A.J. Wollenburg officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
