SIKESTON, Mo. -- Kenneth Scott McCollum, age 52, a resident of Sikeston and formerly of Charleston, Missouri, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 4, 1968, to Patricia Jean Rademaker McCollum, who survives of Sikeston, and the late Robert Scott McCollum.
Kenny grew up in Charleston and was a 1986 graduate of Charleston High School. He was of the Catholic belief. As a young man he attended St. Henry's Church in Charleston, where he sang in the boys choir.
Kenny attended Murray State University at Murray, Kentucky, and later Southeast Missouri State University. He was employed as an over-the-road truck driver until ill health forced his retirement.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his life partner, Daisy Parker, and her children, Olivia, Trayvin and Kody.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston with the pastor, the Rev. David Dohogne, officiating. Private burial will follow.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Telker, Chris Blaylock and Andy Mueller.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
