Retired Commander Kenneth Lynn Jones, 91, of Fairfield, Calif., passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Fairfield. He was born April 11, 1920, in Cape Girardeau. Jones served 30 years in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include two daughters, Priscilla Kankel and Lynwyn Ridgway; a son, Kenneth Lynn Jones Jr.; five grandchildren, Bob, Suzy, Stacy, Bryan and Katie; 12 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Rhys, Danny, R.J. IV, Charlie, Annalise, Ryan, Jacob, Matthew, Jarred, Holly and Lawson...

He was born April 11, 1920, in Cape Girardeau.
Jones served 30 years in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include two daughters, Priscilla Kankel and Lynwyn Ridgway; a son, Kenneth Lynn Jones Jr.; five grandchildren, Bob, Suzy, Stacy, Bryan and Katie; 12 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Rhys, Danny, R.J. IV, Charlie, Annalise, Ryan, Jacob, Matthew, Jarred, Holly and Lawson.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 69 years, Colleen Chloe Jones, and a daughter, Sharon Jones.
The funeral was held May 16 at Fairfield Funeral Home.
A memorial service was held May 18 at Paradise Valley Estates in Fairfield.
