CHARLESTON -- Kenneth Wayne Farrell, 47, of Charleston died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born April 16, 1950, in Cairo, Ill., son of Cleveland E. "Cleve" and Theda Welch Farrell. He first married Brenda Bradish Cornwell. He later married Connie Hunsperger in December 1977.
A lifelong resident of Mississippi County, Farrell was a self-employed tree surgeon. He attended Southside Baptist Church. Farrell served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tonya Brown of East Prairie, Christa Farrell of Charleston; two stepsons, Jason Hunsperger of Wyatt, David Hunsperger of Sikeston; his mother and stepfather, Theda and Elmer Hutson of Anniston; two sisters, Cathy Alsup of Sikeston, Diane Shuffit of Jackson; maternal grandmother, Lucille Welch of Bertrand; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral serivce will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Summers officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
