OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Kenneth A. Edmondson, 69, of Olive Branch died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at his home.

He was born April 12, 1939, in East St. Louis, Ill., to Robert and Bertha Griness Edmondson. He married Dorothy Tauchert on May 24, 1957.

Edmondson was a member of Lake Milligan Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He retired from AmerenUE.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Olive Branch; his mother, Bertha Edmondson of Mount Olive, Ill.; a son, Kenneth G. (Christine) Edmondson of Wentzville, Mo.; a daughter, Debra L. (Peter) Norris of Casselberry, Fla.; six grandchildren, Victoria, Max, Sam and Christine Edmondson, Philip and Alexander Norris; two brothers, Bob Edmondson of Oroville, Calif., John Edmondson of Cahokia, Ill.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Interment will be in Mound City National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Lake Milligan Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
