Kenneth Darrell "Ken" Gurley, 58, of Scott City died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Donald E. and Eula Kirby Gurley. He and Joanne Kubis were married May 2, 1998, in Pelham, N.Y.
Gurley was a driver with Buchheit Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Melanie King of Santa Fe, N.M., Amanda Richey of Appleton, Wis.; a stepdaughter, Sutherlin Borges Casimir of Albany, N.Y.; a stepson, Kieran Healy of Chicago; a sister, Carol Johnson of Lakeview, Ark.; and a granddaughter, Coral Casimir.
His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
The family will be honoring Ken with a private celebration of his life.
The family requests memorials to American Heart Association or to one's favorite charity in Ken's honor.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
