Keith Osmer Lounder, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Sept. 26, 1914, in Spokane, Wash., son of Henry Gilbert and Ella Mae Rundell Lounder. He and Melba Roberta Gregory were married March 21, 1953, in Piggott, Ark.
Lounder worked at a paper mill in Spokane, and was a landscaper and gardener in Pasadena, Calif., 25 years. He was a member of North Cape Church of Christ, Cape-Illmo New Voice Club, life member of Disabled American Veterans, and past member of NRA.
He served in the U.S. Army 10 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a former prisoner of war.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Jack McDonald of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Dolores Henderson of Lincoln, Neb., Linda Royce of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Wayne Lounder of Spokane; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
There is no visitation.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at North Cape Church of Christ. The Rev. Randy Alford will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3838.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
