BENTON, Mo. -- Keith D. Koepp, 60, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Benton and Charleston, Mo., was called to his heavenly home on Feb. 21, 2006.

He was born in Cape Girardeau on May 9, 1945, son of John and Kathleen Koepp, formerly of Charleston and Jefferson City, Mo., who preceded him in death.

Keith was senior insurance underwriter for FCCI Insurance of Sarasota at the time of his death. He had worked for the past 33 years in the field of agri-insurance in Missouri and Illinois. He had been past president of the National Insurance Fieldmen's Association and was bestowed many honors in his profession. His real love was working with people, especially young people. He was a former Boy Scout leader and coach as was his father with many youth groups in Southeast Missouri. Keith was an avid outdoorsman and mostly loved just being out on the farm and being with his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, of Sarasota; two sons, John Koepp and fiancŽe Dana Jones, Kyle Koepp and his girlfriend Andrea Heisserer, all of Benton; a daughter, Kristina Koepp and her fiance, Brad Atkins, also of Benton; and a sister, Daphne Koepp of Jefferson City.

He also leaves four beautiful grandchildren, Kenzi and Charlee Kate Koepp and Kyle and Kane Long, all of the Benton area.

A memorial celebration of Keith's life will be held at St. Lawrence Shibley Hall in New Hamburg on Friday, March 3, from 5 to 9 p.m. A special prayer service will begin at 6 p.m., Father John Harth officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton is in charge of services.
