Kay Bloodworth Shaw, 71, of Shawneetown, formerly of Norfolk, Va., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 1, 1941, in Norfolk to Robah B. and Ernestine Spady Bloodworth. She married Raymond James Shaw and they had four sons.
Kay worked many years in Norfolk as a computer programmer/analyst on weapons systems for naval ships, employed in civil service through the U.S. Department of Defense.
Loving survivors include two sons, Timothy J. (Christine) Shaw of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Raymond P. (Mary) Shaw of Shawneetown; two siblings, Robah Bloodworth of Pahrump, Nev., and Faye Walker of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brandi, Steven, Alana and Jessi Kay.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth P. Shaw; an infant son, Raymond Robert Shaw; and her parents.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.
Arrangements were handled by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
