MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Kay McElvain, 56, of Marquand, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 14, 1944, in Indiana, daughter of Aaron and Dorothy Jenkins Burden. She married Lowell McElvain on Feb. 9, 1964.
She had worked most of her life in hat factories.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Joseph McElvain of Marble Hill and Dean McElvain of Marquand; three brothers, Mark Rainwater of Piedmont, Mo., Allen Rainwater of Fredericktown, Mo., and Stanley Burden of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Sandy Catlett and Donna Rhoden, both of Farmington, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Friends may call from noon to 2 Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clinton Massa officiating.
Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glen Allen.
