KAY MALLETT PRESTON

CHESTERFIELD - Kay Mallett Preston, 51, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1993 at Surrey Place in Chesterfield after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 27, 1941 in Conway, Ark., the daughter of Philip and Erma Mallett. On Nov. 20, 1988 she married Harry Preston.

Both her husband and mother survive. Other survivors include: two stepchildren, Linda Sweeny and Steve Preston of St. Louis; two step-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Mallett of Smithton, Ill.; and two sisters, Joan Harrell of Marble Hill and Diane Shackles of Cape Girardeau.

She worked for the Randon Co. in St. Louis for 30 years and was a member of the Glendale Presbyterian Church, where she served on the session.

Visitation will be at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood from 4-9 p.m. Monday, with the funeral service at 7 p.m. at the chapel.

Burial will be in Friends Hill at Oran Tuesday, with graveside rites at 1 p.m.
