Rosalyn "Kay" Jerls, 56, of Puxico, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 5, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Paul B. and Marjorie L. Mabrey Brown. Loving survivors include her mother, Marjorie Brown of Whitewater; three sons, James Jones of Whitewater, Ronnie Slinkard of Scott City, Rocky Jerls of Puxico; a daughter, Jen Jerls of Puxico; four brothers, Bradley (Lorraine) Brown of Cape Girardeau, Arlen, Ronnie and Danny Brown of Whitewater; two sisters, Sylvia Jo Brown of Shawneetown, Joyce May of Whitewater; and a special friend, Jack May.. ...

She was born Feb. 5, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Paul B. and Marjorie L. Mabrey Brown.

Loving survivors include her mother, Marjorie Brown of Whitewater; three sons, James Jones of Whitewater, Ronnie Slinkard of Scott City, Rocky Jerls of Puxico; a daughter, Jen Jerls of Puxico; four brothers, Bradley (Lorraine) Brown of Cape Girardeau, Arlen, Ronnie and Danny Brown of Whitewater; two sisters, Sylvia Jo Brown of Shawneetown, Joyce May of Whitewater; and a special friend, Jack May.

She was preceded in death by her father; two sons, Paul Jones and Kenneth Jerls; and a brother, Kenny Brown.

A graveside memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Barks Chapel Cemetery near Whitewater.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to her children.
