Katie Parkhurst

Katie Marie "Bug" Parkhurst, 21, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, in Benton, Missouri.

She was born Feb. 11, 1997, in Reno, Nevada, the daughter of Gregory and Carol E. Piirainen Parkhurst.

She is survived by two brothers, Will "Bumper" Rhodes of Fruitland and Gregory Parkhurst Jr. of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Dwana "Babygirl" (James) Lyerla of Cape Girardeau, Stephanie Bryan of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Jessica Parkhurst of Midland.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held from noon until the time of the memorial service Sunday at Unity Baptist Church in Benton.

A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
