MOUNDS, Ill. -- Katie E. Bough, 95, of Mounds died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born Sept. 6, 1904, in Perks, daughter of John and Sarah Patterson Sowers. She married Lorenzo Bough Sr., who died in 1945. Survivors include three sons, Dr. ...

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Katie E. Bough, 95, of Mounds died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Sept. 6, 1904, in Perks, daughter of John and Sarah Patterson Sowers. She married Lorenzo Bough Sr., who died in 1945.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Bennie Bough of Fairfax, Va., Lorenzo Bough Jr. of Southgate, Calif., Charles Bough of Victorville, Calif.; a brother, Walter Sowers of Pontiac, Mich.; several grandchildren, including Jeanie Curry of Villa Ridge, Paula Britton of Olmsted, Dr. Dewey Dixon of Mounds, who took care of her; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons and three daughters.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. F.M. Speakman will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive-Meisenheimer Cemetery at Dongola.
