KATIE ADAMS

WYATT, Mo. -- Katie Louise Adams, 69, of Wyatt died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Mississippi County, daughter of Luther Earl and Helen Dismore Woodruff. She and Walter Adams were married Feb. 28, 1948. He died Oct. 29, 1991.

Adams lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She had been a cook at Wyatt Junction Cafe. She was a member of New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include a son, Ricky Adams of Charleston; a daughter, Helen Knupp of Bertrand; a brother, Edward Woodruff of Barlow, Ky.; two sisters, Ella Petty of Cunningham, Ky., Polly Parham of East Prairie; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a daughter and a brother.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
