KATHRYN MONTGOMERY

CHAFFEE -- Kathryn Montgomery, 84, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born June 20, 1915, at Tuckerman, Ark., daughter of Pleasant Howell and Theresa Goatcher Bowden. She and J.P. Montgomery were married Nov. 18, 1935.

Montgomery was a retired owner and operator of Montgomery Motor Co. at Chaffee. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church at Chaffee.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, John Montgomery of Keller, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church at Chaffee, with the Revs. Gerald Collier and John Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
