Kathryn M. Green, 90, of Freeburg, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Joseph G. and Lucy M. Allen Birk. She married James Lee Gordon Green, who passed away July 16, 2007.
Kathryn graduated from Central High School in 1939. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson and for several years was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in O'Fallon, Mo.
Loving survivors include two sons, Jerry Vincent of West Valley City, Utah, Sam (Beverly) Hall of Caseyville, Ill.; two sisters, Georgia Lee Smith and Joann Grebe of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Marie Birk of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry L. Vincent, in 2006.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
