JACKSON -- Kathleen Noland, 94, of Route 4, Jackson died Monday, Sept. 14, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 21, 1898, near Neely's Landing, the daughter of Sterling Price and Emily Clare Cotter Bray. On Sept. 17, 1919, she married Carl Noland, who preceded her in death, Dec. 28, 1951.
She taught school at Indian Creek and Egypt Mills, was a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church at Fruitland where she taught Sunday School, and was a charter member of the Live and Learn Extension Club. She also was the former treasurer of the McLain Chapel Cemetery Association and a former Democratic Committee member.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald Noland of Jackson, James Noland of West Redding, Conn. and Joe Noland of Louisville, Ky.; three daughters, Virginia Daniel of Fort Smith, Ark., Ruth Schweer of Jackson and Judith Rapp of Tomah, Wis.; a sister, Carrie Van Ronzelen; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three brothers, five sisters, a grandson, and two great-grandsons.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, where funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. David Conley will officiate, and burial will be in the McLain Chapel Cemetery.
