SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Kathleen Caverno of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles E. Buck will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m.

Caverno, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 23, 1904, in McMullin, daughter of William T. and Amanda Lennox Stubblefield. She and Jere Caverno were married Nov. 6, 1944, in Blytheville, Ark. He died Oct. 11, 1970.

Caverno was a retired beautician, and member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four stepsons, Arthur Caverno of St. Louis, Phillip Caverno of Stevensville, Mich., Jere Caverno Jr. of Jefferson City, John Caverno of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two sisters, Blanche Stubblefield and Birdie Smith of Sikeston.
