KATHLEEN CATO

ZALMA -- Kathleen Fish Cato, 84, of Zalma died Monday, June 22, 1998, at her home.

She was born March 3, 1914, at Zalma, daughter of Earl and Susan Stephens Fish Sr. She and Earnest Fish were married March 25, 1934, at Arab. He died Jan. 15, 1973. She later married William Otis Cato May 7, 1980. He died Nov. 10, 1984.

Cato was a member of Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church at Arab.

Survivors include a son, Russell Fish of Puxico; four daughters, Phyllis Placher, Marcella Townsend, Anna VanGennip and Marjorie Robison, all of Puxico; a stepson, Kelly Cato of Illinois; three stepdaughters, Patricia Waterman, Dena Burns and Tootsie Reddick of Illinois; a brother, Earl Fish Jr. of Advance; three sisters, Thelma Morgan of Zalma, Beulah Younger of Advance, Eula Schmidt of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Sargent officiating. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery at Arab.
