Katheryn Maddox

Mary Katheryn "Kathy" Maddox, 81, of Jackson, previously of Clarkton, Missouri, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at Monticello House in Jackson.

Kathy and her late husband, Billy Gene Maddox, owned and operated the Clarkton Tomato House, retiring from the business in 1992. In 2007 she and her husband moved to Jackson.

Born Aug. 27, 1937, in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late Levi and Dovie Dodson Scribner, Kathy was united in marriage to Billy Gene Maddox on July 24, 1954, in Holly Springs, Mississippi. He preceded her in death July 31, 2010.

Surviving is a son, Mark E. (Sandra) Maddox of Covington, Tennessee. Also surviving are two daughters, Kim Boone of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Lisa (B.J.) McArthur of Jackson.

Kathy has six grandchildren, Diana (Nick) Bryan, Holly Maddox and Natalie Maddox, all of Covington; Whitney (Nathan) Montgomery of Bentonville, Arkansas; Kailee Boone of Pea Ridge; and Brittany McArthur of Jackson.

She also has four great-grandbabies, Chole, Dash, Madison and Lydia.

Also surviving is a sister, Elizabeth Davis of Toledo, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon McArthur; three sisters, FloraBell Wilson, AnnaBell Simms and Irene Moore; and a brother, Levi Scribner.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri, with the Rev. Damon Shields officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden, Missouri, is in charge of the arrangements.
