Katherine M. Pemberton, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at her home.
She was born March 20, 1931, in Reyno, Ark., daughter of Thomas L. and Grace A. Ballard Meeks. She and Ralph Pemberton were married Sept. 27, 1947, at Sikeston. He died in September 1992.
Pemberton worked at Tri-County Health Facility many years, retiring in 1987. She moved to Cape Girardeau six years ago from Sikeston.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Pemberton of Spring Hill, Fla.; a daughter, Angela Kaelin of Cape Girardeau; A brother, Billy Meeks of Marlton, Ark.; two sisters, Juanita Ramsey of Sikeston, Geneva Smith of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-7 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.
