Katharine Beck

Katharine Lucille Beck, 67, of Jackson died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Fresno, Calif., daughter of Owen and Helen Webb Smith. She and Ronnie L. Beck were married Oct. 1, 1960, in Caruthersville, Mo.

She was a bookkeeper and a member of the Jackson Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Scott (Lisa) Beck of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Shannon (Bryan) Hood of Atlanta; a brother, Eddie Smith of Kennett, Mo.; two sisters, Letha Blount of Kennett, Jo Ann Sides of Dyersburg, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Alexander and Nathaniel Beck and Christian Hood.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the Jackson Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., with Bryan McAlister officiating. Entombment will follow at the Cape County Memorial Park.
