Edmundson, 96, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Nov. 9, 1901, in Rutherford, Tenn., daughter of Benjamin F. and Mollie Tinkle Edmundson.

Edmundson was a graduate of Memphis State University in Memphis, Tenn. She taught first grade in Rutherford, moving to Cape Girardeau in 1970. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Rutherford.

Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Tilghman of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
