Karen DeAnn Wood, age 51, of Burfordville, Missouri, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 19, 1962, in Collinsville, Mississippi, to Wilton and Tiny Ann Moore Doerner. She married Brian Wood on Nov. 13, 1998.
DeAnn worked at Mondi Jackson Inc. for 12 years.
She attended Harmony Congregational Methodist
Church as well as Cape County Cowboy Church. Her hobbies included sewing and painting.
She is survived by her husband, Brian, and son, Joe Wood, both of Burfordville; her mother, Tiny Ann (Larry) Brock and sister, Dawn (Jeff) Shirley, all of Meridian, Mississippi; her mother- and father-in-law, Joe and Eunice Wood of Fayetteville, Arkansas; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Friends and family may gather from 1:30 p.m. until time of service today at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial services for Karen DeAnn Wood will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Saint Francis Foundation Cancer Department and will be accepted at the funeral home.
