DEXTER, Mo. -- Karen Sue Clodfelter Hampton, daughter of Lois Day Clodfelter and the late John Clodfelter, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on Oct. 30, 1946, and departed this life at Dexter on Sept. 30, 2017, at the age of 70.
Karen was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Dexter. She was a resident of Dexter.
Survivors include her mother, Lois Clodfelter of Dexter; a daughter, Nancy Probst, and husband Ross of St. Louis; a son, James Hampton, and partner Brian Crawford of Dexter; four grandchildren, Alexandar Jade Hampton Diebold and husband Levi, Tres Hampton and Gracen Camille Hampton, all of Dexter, and John Bradley Probst of St. Louis; and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ron Beaton and Susan Marner-Sides officiating. Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 501 S. Walnut St., Dexter, MO 63841, for the youth department or church choir.
