Funeral service for Junior Martin Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial in Thompson Cemetery at Egypt Mills.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Fornkohl, 67, died Wednesday, March 23, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born June 3, 1926, at Egypt Mills, son of Martin and Edith Smith Fornkohl. He and Leona Friedhof were married Feb. 23, 1957, in Cape Girardeau.

Fornkohl had worked at International Shoe Co. He was employed by city of Cape Girardeau Street Department more than 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, James, Randy and Steve Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Susan Hager of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Ivan Fornkohl of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.; a sister, Evelyn Blocker of Cape Girardeau, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
