McCLURE, Ill. -- Junior Francis Brown, 88, of McClure died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at his home.
He was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Parma, Missouri, to Francis and Etta Miller Brown. He and Judith Annette Maxwell were married March 3, 1960, in Hollywood, Florida.
Junior served in the Merchant Marine during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Mark Frances Brown of McClure; two daughters, Lisa Beattie (Tom) of Jackson and Elizabeth Ann Morton (Mark) of Washington state; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Barney Lincoln; a brother, Clarence Brown; two sisters, Billie Williams and Patsy Brown; and a son, Matthew Brown.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Kentucky.
