June Elenor Nothdurft, 90, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. June Elenor Nothdurft, 90, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born June 5, 1921, in Pocahontas, to Lawrence Ezra and Ruth Henderson Martin. She and Milton "Funny" Nothdurft were married Jan. 20, 1944. He died Oct. 25, 2008.

June graduated from Jackson High School. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. She worked at International Shoe Co., Dairy Queen, Priest Clothing, and P.N. Hirsch, all in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence (Debbie) Nothdurft of Jefferson City, Mo.; two nephews, Jim Vangilder of Jackson, Dan Whitledge of St. Louis; and a niece, Pat Bruder of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Mildred Vangilder and Bernice Whitledge.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Rice officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home or to the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund.
