June D. Lewis, 78, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at her home.
She was born June 22, 1937, in Norfolk, England, the daughter of Reginald and Gertrude Gallant.
She married Roy Lewis on Oct. 15, 1956.
June attended Iona Baptist Church. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, art and traveling.
In addition to her loving husband of 59 years, she is survived by a son and a daughter, Nicholas and Mandy Lewis, both of England; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Sybil Upchurch of Cape Girardeau and Janet Cann of England.
Also surviving are a number of loving nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, with the Rev. Kevin Rhodes officiating.
