June James, 82, of Jackson died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
She was born July 16, 1922, in Chickasha, Okla., daughter of Fred and Iva Mercer Baugher. She and Cecil W. James were married June 27, 1943, in Sikeston, Mo.
James was a machinist at Hahs Machine Shop in Sikeston. She was a member of First Christian Church in Sikeston, was a youth Sunday school teacher many years, and was a former Brownie troop leader.
She moved to the farm near Millersville in 1967, and then to Jackson in 1998.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Bill James of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters, Patsy Parmeter, Barbara Schilling and Glenda Cobb, all of Jackson; three brothers, Larry Baugher of Ojai, Calif., Jerry Baugher of Monett, Mo., Fred Baugher of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two sisters, Lorene Cook of Monett, Betty Wesson of Metropolis, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
