Funeral service for Elizabeth "June" Hudson of Iron Mountain, Mich., a former teacher here, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. James McLaurin will officiate, with burial in Cemetery Park.

Friends may call at Erickson Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Hudson, 75, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in North Iron Mountain.

She was born June 14, 1922, in Iron Mountain, daughter of Joseph E. and Elizabeth Oliver Anderson. She and Charles F. Hudson were married in 1943. He died in 1981.

Hudson received a teaching degree from Northern Michigan University. She taught in Iowa, Wisconsin, and 30 years in the Cape Girardeau Public Schools. She was a teacher at Lorimier Elementary from 1958-76, and at Clippard (Hawthorn) Elementary from 1976 until retiring in 1988.

After retiring she moved to Iron Mountain to be with her mother. She tutored children in the area and was also a substitute teacher.

Hudson had been a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau, and after moving to Iron Mountain became a member of a Methodist church there. She was a member of Friends of the Museum, Friends of the Library, and treasurer of Sharon Shrine.

Survivors include a son, William Hudson of Thailand; her mother of Iron Mountain; a brother, Joseph Anderson of Ohio; and a sister, Greta Betti of Iron Mountain.
