JONESBORO, Ill. -- Julio M. Gonzales, 84, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born Dec. 14, 1914, at Arroyo Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Santiago and Aniceta Martinez Gonzalez.
He married Juana Martinez Martinez Dec. 15, 1952.
Survivors include his wife; one son Homero Gonzalez of South Bend, Ind.; three daughters, Raquel Reyes of Mission, Texas, and Juana Ramos and Eden Gomez, both of Cobden; one brother, Marcos Gonzalez of Montemorelos, Mexico; two sisters, Amalia Gonzalez de Patlan and Carmela Gonzalez, both of Monterrey, Mexico; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. The Rev. Federico Higuera will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Cobden.
