Julie "Juju" Gurley, 52, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at her home. She was born Dec. 13, 1966, in Cape Girardeau to Jack and Mary Ann Kellogg. Julie had many interests, such as hummingbirds and professional wrestling, but she especially loved spending time with her family and their weekly adventures, which she described as "the thrill of the hunt" as they searched many local stores and shops looking for treasures...

Julie "Juju" Gurley, 52, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at her home.

She was born Dec. 13, 1966, in Cape Girardeau to Jack and Mary Ann Kellogg.

Julie had many interests, such as hummingbirds and professional wrestling, but she especially loved spending time with her family and their weekly adventures, which she described as "the thrill of the hunt" as they searched many local stores and shops looking for treasures.

She is survived by two sons, Adam and Aaron Wendel; daughter, Alexis Gurley; two sisters, Jackie (Ronnie) Crittendon and Debbie (Ralph) Hinkebein; two brothers, Randy (Cindy) Kellogg and Johnny (Leeann) Kellogg; 13 nieces and nephews; 25 great-nieces and -nephews; and other relatives, many friends and her two faithful dogs, Pebbles and Bam Bam.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau.

Graveside inurnment and celebration of life for Julie Gurley will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Elijah Allen officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation, Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary or American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
