Julia Josephine Patterson, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born in Verviers, Belgium, daughter of Jules and Augustine Bollinne Peters. She and Amos L. Patterson were married Oct. 23, 1945, in Verviers.

Patterson worked as a seamstress in Belgium and as an assistant in an orphanage for girls. She was formerly of Memphis, Tenn., and a member of Crestview Christian Church there.

Survivors include a son, Pat Patterson of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Funeral Home South Chapel in Memphis. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery there.
