Julia was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau more than 60 years, and was also a faithful member of its choir for the same period. She was very passionate about music and singing. Julia loved working with children as she was a preschool teacher more than 25 years in various local early childhood development schools and learning centers.
She was a loyal and devoted wife to her husband, Art, and to their children as they were both active leaders in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and PTA.
Julia was also a very big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, hardly ever missing a game.
Loving survivors include three sons, Bill Jackson of St. Louis, Robert (Kathy) Jackson of Jonesboro, Ark., Tom (Angie) Jackson of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Sue (Stan) Cook of Farmington, Mo.; a brother, Charles (Rhoda) Jackson of Spokane, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
