CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Julia Elizabeth Pulliam of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Richard Combs will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Pulliam, 96, died Sunday, April 10, 1994, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born April 30, 1897, in Charleston, daughter of the Rev. Luther and Julia Elizabeth Swank Pulliam.
Pulliam received bachelor of science and master degrees from Peabody College. She taught in several area schools, retiring in 1965. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include a nephew, Bill Phelps of Tucson, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
