MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Julia Johanna Arnzen, 89, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 22, 1911, in Leopold, Mo., the daughter of Jacob G and Rosina Elfrink Vandeven. She married William Arnzen on April 25, 1934, in Leopold. He died June 21, 1994...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Julia Johanna Arnzen, 89, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 22, 1911, in Leopold, Mo., the daughter of Jacob G and Rosina Elfrink Vandeven. She married William Arnzen on April 25, 1934, in Leopold. He died June 21, 1994.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by five sons, James J. Arnzen and Steve J. Arnzen, both of Cape Girardeau, Harold W. Arnzen of Jackson, Mo., Richard V. Arnzen of Scott City, Mo., and Virgil J. Arnzen of Benton, Mo.; two daughters, Julia Mayfield of Millersville, Mo., and Patty Ricketts of Marble Hill; a brother, Victor Vandeven of Leopold; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. today.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery.
