Judith A. Barringer Goza, 66, of Lakeland, Fla., was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005.
She was born May 27, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Vernon and Arlinda Barringer. She and Robert Goza were married Dec. 25, 1956, in Seattle, Wash.
Judy was a graduate of Central High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University and received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Washington in Seattle.
She was a certified financial planner. She attended Victory Assembly of God Church in Lakeland.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael (Amy) Goza of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Tracey (Noah) Talesnick of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren, Nathan and Taylor Talesnick; and her mother, Arlinda McElreath of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are six sisters, Norma (Charles) Barenkamp of Belleville, Ill., Sue (Don) McMullin and Linda Shirrell of Cape Girardeau, Joyce (Victor) Lanzotti of Springfield, Ill., Amy (Jim) Stovall of Cape Girar-deau, Beth (Bob) Bauer of St. Louis; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Barringer of Cape Girardeau.
Judy was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Vernon Jr.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease).
