CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Juanita Lorene Slinkard, 90, of DeKalb, Ill., died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Pine Acres Care Center in DeKalb. She was born April 16, 1915, at Diehlstadt, Mo., daughter of William Harvey and Stella Jennings Griffith. She and Ora A. Slinkard were married Aug. 12, 1932. He died Jan. 8, 1965...
CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Juanita Lorene Slinkard, 90, of DeKalb, Ill., died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Pine Acres Care Center in DeKalb.
She was born April 16, 1915, at Diehlstadt, Mo., daughter of William Harvey and Stella Jennings Griffith. She and Ora A. Slinkard were married Aug. 12, 1932. He died Jan. 8, 1965.
Slinkard was formerly of Chaffee. She had been a seamstress for a clothing manufacturer.

Survivors include three sons, Eugene Slinkard of Florissant, Mo., Ray Slinkard of DeKalb, Darrel Slinkard of Fort Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, an infant granddaughter and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee from 10:30 a.m. to service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Cliff Day officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
