Juanita E. Sarff, 91, of Farmington, Mo., died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 10, 1911, at Doe Run, Mo., daughter of Henry and Annie Jinkerson Waltman. She married William Jefferson Sarff, who preceded her in death.
Sarff was in the education field 26 years, and had been principal of W.L. Johns and Jefferson Schools. She received the annual award for Meritorious Service to Education by Missouri State Teachers Association in 1976.
She was a member of National Retired Teachers Association, AARP, and NEA Association, and had been a volunteer at the Nutrition Center in Farmington.
Survivors include a son, John Sarff of Jackson; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Dr. David Webster officiating. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
