BARLOW, Ky. -- Juanita Phillips, 87, of Barlow, Ky., died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at her home.
She was born Dec. 7, 1912, daughter of Thomas and Rosa Dunning Smothers.
She resided for 40 years in Cairo, Ill., where she was head housekeeper for the Cairo Hotel. She lived in Paducah and Barlow for the past 12 years.
Survivors include a son, Mike Phillips of Mounds, Ill.; a daughter, Shari Shepherd of Barlow; a brother, John Smothers of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She preceded in death by a son, four brothers and two husbands, Harry Brown and Emmett M. Phillips.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Barlow.
Graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill., with Rev. Jerry Herring officiating.
