Juanita M. McNeely, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 10, 1925, at Chaffee, Mo., to Clarence and Pauline Menz Heard.
She and Franklin T. McNeely were married Jan. 21, 1942, at Cape Girardeau. He passed away Nov. 18, 2007.
Juanita was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. She was a 1942 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She thoroughly enjoyed being a collector and dealer of antiques and was an avid bridge player. She also worked as an assembler at Davis Electric during and after World War II and was a member of the Homemakers Extension Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Parker of Cape Girardeau; one granddaughter, Susan (Mark) DeLosSantos of Glendale, Ariz.; two grandsons, David (Brandi) Parker of Denver; and Robert (Jennifer) Parker of Cape Girardeau; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jovana, Derrick, Raquel, Mocha, Emma, Tazia and Noah Franklin DeLosSantos, Emily, Sonora, Megan, Mary Ella, Henry and David Parker, and Chloe and Chase Parker; one great-great grandchild, Marcus DeLosSantos; one brother-in-law, Paul (Bev) McNeely of Kirkwood, Mo., and one sister-in-law, Margaret McNeely of Greenville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kizito Wenani officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
