Funeral for Juanita Abbott of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Gregory will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from noon until service time.
Abbott, 90, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1907, at Dutchtown, daughter of Dr. Noe Franklin and Alma Meyer Chostner.
Abbott was office manager and personal secretary to R.B. Potashnick 16 years, and also had owned the Owl and I Gift Shop.
She was one of the early organizers of Riverfest, had been a volunteer with Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary, and served on the boards of Old McKendree Chapel and SEMO Wesley Foundation Inc.
Abbott was a member of Maple United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Cape Girardeau Garden Club, Delta Homemakers Club, Historical Association of Greater Cape Girardeau, and Historical Association of Missouri.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Smith of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
