MOREHOUSE, Mo. -- Funeral for Thomas Jack "J.T." Pruett of Morehouse will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo. Dr. Jim Guffie will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Mo.
Pruett, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 9, 1928, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Oscar and Ruth Harrison Pruett. He and Eva Nelson were married April 20, 1963, at Morehouse.
Pruett had been a maintenance worker and night watchman at Himmelberger-Harrison Manufacturing Co.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Jones of Jackson, Tenn.; a daughter, Lois Lutes of Morehouse; a brother, Jessie Pruett of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Betty Lindsy of St. Louis, Jenny Toy of Sugar Grove, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
