Melva "Joyce" Moore, 79, of Delta passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 28, 1937, in Cape Girardeau to the late Melvin and Juanita Pennigton Slinkard. She married Garnett "Butch" Moore on Oct. 5, 1957, and he preceded her in death Jan. 17, 2001.
Joyce was a self-employed hairdresser and was owner/operator of Joyce's Mobile Beauty Shop in Delta. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley and Walter Moore, both of Delta, and two grandsons, Daniel and Zachary Moore of Delta.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Moore; a daughter, Rebecca Smith; and a brother, Philip "Laddie" Slinkard.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Delta.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
