Wilma Joyce Edwards, 74, of Gordonville died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her home.
She was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to Alva and Fannie West Langdon. She and Willard Edgar Edwards were married Nov. 15, 1975, at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Joyce had been a teacher in the Cape Girardeau school system 25 years.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, several bridge clubs and volunteered at the Glenn House.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Edgar Edwards of Cape Girardeau; a son, Dr. James (Monica) Edwards of Jackson; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Hannah and Ian Edwards of Jackson; a sister, Jeanene (Carl) Moritz of St. Charles, Missouri; a niece, Anne Moritz of St. Charles; and a nephew, Matt Moritz of St. Charles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Rebecca Drury.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A private graveside funeral service will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Rebecca Drury Memorial Scholarship Fund at Southeast Missouri State University.
