TAMMS, Ill. -- Josephine Sims, 81, of Tamms died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Linden, Tenn., daughter of Augustus Evert and Edna Mae Harper Johnson. She married John "Bud" Sims, who died in 1981.

Sims retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in Anna, and was a member of Elco Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Steve and Charlie Sims of Tamms; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola, Ill.
